It’s also worth noting that, well, not only is Lesko’s advice sound and truthful, but that’s his real wardrobe, too. Yep, he actually wears that insane suit, the bow tie, the mismatched socks and colorful glasses when he’s just driving around town… In his yellow question mark covered Lexus… So really, that’s not even a character he’s playing on TV, that’s the real Matt Lesko, every bit as eccentric as he is on stage.
Some have actually accused Lesko of plagiarism. When your job is primarily in researching and compiling information for the use of others, “plagiarism” is an odd accusation. OBVIOUSLY he didn’t create all of the grants being offered by the government. He himself admits that he just copies the info from government information.
But how is that any different from, say, a zoologist who wants to write a book all about hummingbirds, and then goes to the library to collect all of the information that’s already available on the species? Lesko puts all of that info into a smaller, digestible format which takes less time to read than doing the research all on your own.
Whatever the criticisms levied at Lesko and his ridiculous suit and wild antics, his cameo in the Adult Swim series “The Venture Brothers” sums it up pretty well: He helps people get free money from the government, so he can’t be all bad. Crazy infomercials and silly suits aside, the information provided in his books are actually completely sound and sensible, however the presentation on late night TV.

How about ET? Everyone loves the extra terrestrial that ate Reese’s Pieces and charmed a small town. Elliot and ET make for a great combo, and any kids should generally love this movie.
Pinocchio – The wooden puppet who turns into a real boy. This is a true Disney classic, and one worth watching anytime, regardless of the story’s age. While it has its scarier moments near the end, this is a movie that children simply adore.
The movie Superman totally captures a child’s attention when they see a man flying in the air. This is exciting to them and all children should watch this movie.
There is a much more recent classic movie called Bend it Like Beckham that children would benefit from watching. They will learn the important lessons of cooperation, competitive spirit and teamwork when playing sports.
No matter which of these movies your children watch, it is a given that they will soon be wanting to view them over and over.
